The Malaysian Automotive Association (MAA) has recently disclosed the vehicle sales data for November 2023, reporting a total of 71,908 vehicles delivered to buyers.
Car Production in November 2023 Up 12 Per Cent
Although this figure was 4 per cent lower compared to October 2023 (74,896 units), the year-to-date (YTD) total has now reached 718,748 units including commercial vehicles.
The YTD sales for the 11 months of 2023 have surged by an impressive 12 per cent compared to the corresponding period in 2022, totaling of 644,534 passenger vehicles.
On the production front, November 2023 witnessed a total of 67,743 units, contributing to a YTD total of 708,376 units—marking a 12 per cent increase from the same period in 2022.
Anticipating the final month of December 2023, the association foresees sales levels similar to those of November 2023. This expectation is supported by the continuation of aggressive year-end promotions by companies aligning with their financial year-end on 31st December, 2023.
